Workshop Controller

Job Overview:


The Bodyshop Workshop Controller is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Bodyshop, ensuring high-quality repairs, efficient workflow, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive body repair, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to achieving company goals, Audatex and GT-Global knowledge would be preferable but not necessary 


 Key Responsibilities:


 Operational Management:

- Oversee the daily workflow of the Bodyshop, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard, carry out daily meetings with the Manager 

- Schedule and prioritize jobs based on urgency and availability of resources.

- Monitor the progress of repairs and update customers and management on status.


Quality Control:

- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and comply with safety regulations.

- Implement quality control measures to minimize rework and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Review completed jobs and provide feedback to technicians on performance and quality.


Customer Relations:

- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding repair status, estimates, and any concerns.

- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times to maintain client satisfaction and loyalty.

- Handle any customer complaints efficiently and effectively.



Health and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement effective safety protocols for all employees.    

- Ensure all PPE/RPE is serviceable and recorded.


Qualifications:

- Proven experience in a role within an automotive Bodyshop or workshop.

- Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes and techniques, including familiarity with Bodyshop equipment and tools.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Proficient in using workshop management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, Audatex, GT Global

- Relevant automotive qualifications are desirable.
